Messina - The winners of the "Mare Nostrum Mediterranean"

Prizes were awarded on October 5, 2011 in Messina in the hall of mirrors the winners of the first edition of the national competition "Mare Nostrum", divided into sections of painting, poetry and photography. The event was organized by the Academy of Euro-Mediterranean arts, chaired by journalist and art critic Maria Teresa Prestigiacomo with the support of the province of Messina. Three sections: painting, poetry and photography. The winners received an exclusive creation of Francesco Cosio, goldsmith and silversmith Gullo Jewelry gifts. The event was coordinated by the journalist Maximilian Knights, while the evening was the godmother of the Provincial Councillor Rosalie Danzin, a member of the Culture Committee of the Regional Province of Messina.
Among the guests of honor Archbishop of Messina, Calogero La Piana and the prefect Francesco Alecci. During the ceremony they performed the tenor Giuseppe Mastrojeni, storyteller and folk singer John Messina Argurio and poet Maria Costa, who also received the Academy Award. The lyrics that have won the first edition of the award have been interpreted by the actor and director Nico Zancle. To judge the works submitted to the jury, chaired by Maria Teresa Prestigiacomo and composed of Anna Maria Miceli Mazzaglia, Anna Maria Bellucci, Anna Maria Celi and Enza Partridges.
A win for the poetry section: Clelia Celleghini with "Aleko", Riccardo Melotti and Rosanna Veronesi. Prize for poetry in Sicilian language to Marisa Frasca Rustica.
In the photographic section of the first prize to Maria Luisa Runt, the second to Richard Sanchini and third prize ex-aequo with Angela and Emilio Coral Bar.
Finally, the painting section, the first prize "Akela went to Celleghini Clelia, the second prize ex aequo Nadia Misci Conter and Gilberto Piccinini, while the third prize was awarded to Marisa Bellini. Special prize for the youngest artist to Faustina Aurora Dibenedetto and special mention to Grace Badari.
Santino Irrera journalist, editor of the online journal "The new money," went an award of merit for his constant efforts to support initiatives of the academy.
The President of the Association Jack - Section Messina, Domenico Venuti, was named an honorary co-chair of the "Euro-Mediterranean Academy of the Arts Award - 2012 Edition".
The award is in memory of Anna Moleti Belfast and is based in the charming Villa Hauser-Greta Garbo, the Bay of Taormina.
In the 2009 edition, the award "Euro-Mediterranean Academy of Arts" was assigned to the actor Gianpiero Ciccio, for the Theatre, Music for Renzo to Gianni and Giorgio Fratantonio for television journalism.
